Recently, Amazon sent out emails to those who have pre-ordered Prepper’s Long-Term Survival Guide 2, letting them know that the book was “unavailable” and that they didn’t know when it would be in stock. A few of you contacted me privately asking for more info and I’m sure there are others out there wondering what’s going on.

Simply put, I screwed up. It is 100% my own fault. But, I’m working on fixing it.

Long story short, Ulysses Press has canceled the book, at least for the time being. Why? Because I’m embarrassingly past the deadline for the manuscript. Again, my fault entirely. I overextended myself with work and, well, the book fell to the side due to other commitments, both professionally as well as personally.

The book is largely complete at this point, though still needs a bit of work. It is a priority of mine to get it wrapped up, though admittedly I do have other projects that are getting equal attention as well. it is a balancing act, to be sure.

Once the manuscript is complete, I’ll turn it in to the publisher and see what they say. If they still want to pass on it, I’m sure it will find a home elsewhere.

I truly and deeply apologize to you folks for the delays. I feel like an absolute heel about the whole thing. Anyone who knows me in real life knows I hate being late for anything. Seriously, at home if I say I want to leave the house by 10AM, I mean I want asses strapped into seats and be backing out of the driveway at 9:58AM. Doesn’t always happen, of course. But I’ve always been one of those, “if I’m not early, I’m late” sort of people. So, to miss a manuscript deadline, especially by this much, is killing me.

I’m human, I make mistakes. But, I try to own up to them and make them right when I’m able to do so.

I’ll get there. Just need a little more time. Trust me, the book will be worth the wait.
