Different Types of Bug Out Locations

Let’s dig into bug out location and how to choose the right one for you. Also, what considerations to make and where is right for you. You don’t need a lot, while many people want to have huge tracts of land with a fancy setup. Even just a small one acre plot can be good enough for a bug out location.

Make sure you have access to water, you can grow some food there if you need to and it’s out of town just enough to be away from the hordes of people if a disaster hits.

The key things to think about are access to the land, how defensible is it, does it have water, could you build there if you wanted to, what are the local laws and any land restrictions. You don’t even need a house there right now, in some cases a simple covered shelter can give you a leg up today if something were to happen, you can then build your ideal setup over time.

The Prepper’s Daily is more than just a prepper website, we work to share knowledge with you all year long about prepping and then once a year we gather for our conference.

At the event we bring prepping experts together and focus on getting you prepared with a heavy focus on training and education, not endless rows of vendor booths. We like to cover topics what you should carry every day (EDC), considerations for your bug out bag, or what happens in a disaster or when the SHTF.

It could be a natural disaster, civil unrest, financial collapse or some other apocalyptic event. We talk about gear such as fixed blade knives, emergency rations, HAM radios, and paracord.

We cover topics such as food storage, fire starting, water filtering, and self-defense. Whatever you’re interested in, we probably talk about it if it has to do with getting prepared as preppers, prepping, and other survival topics.
